Andrew Tyler Flick=Awesome!

Our grandson is 11 today!! How can that be true!! Is this really September 7th, 2007!! The day before he was born there was a big hurricane "Fran" that came up the Cape Fear River and hit the Fayetteville N.C. area where our oldest son Steve was serving in the Army at Ft. Brag. A tree fell just beside the girls' bedroom during the wind and torrential rain that hit the city. The house was a bi level and Steve worked hours before we got there to keep the water out of that level..He was exhausted to say the least! Sweet Mama Lori went through that event without labor but the next morning around 4 a.m. she came to the room where we were sleeping to let us know that she and Steve were heading for the Ft. Bragg hospital, as were slot of other army wives that night! The barometer had dropped and then risen and it helps to induce labor..Great!!..Isn't life just grand..no really!! that was a woman speaking ! ha ha.. We have never seen so many baby boys at one time in any place in our lives!! WOW! OK, Back to baby Andrew! well, he was big!!! he was all boy from the start.. and with the hurricane and flooding and also 2 sisters that were just a couple years older than him, made an overwhelming experience in the beginning for Mom and Dad!! They did great!! as usual!.. His Dad and him had a great cake and party the day he came home from the hospital..Steve's' birthday was on the 9th! How awesome is that!! We were so fortunate to have been there in time, and for the celebration!! Our truck had just sputtered and wanted to stall out all the way across those mountains..but we had to get to Steve's', we knew the storm had hit hard...all the motels hundreds of miles out were filled up! In the end, it all worked out as it always does.! So, along with having a wonderful time with our little granddaughters too, Alyssa and Kirsten...never a dull moment then or now!! for a fact!! We held him, loved him, whispered into his tiny ear!..We had to leave all too soon!! We ended up having our truck hauled off...it made it to Steve and Loris' driveway and died!!! forever!! and we purchased a new grey Honda...whoosh!! yes, our old family saying when we would be leaving our Mom and Dads' with our kids in tow and busy time...my Dad would laugh, that would be Andrews Great Grandpa Bob, and say....just sit down now and make a whoosh!!...it always brought laughter and joy to our hearts!! As then and now, it never takes alot to entertain this family!...just fun, laughter, and lots of kids and more kids!!....so we rejoice in Andrew..he was and remains so pleasant and always a helper...He lived up to his name given to him, Andrew meaning manly!! Gods' man!! Thank you Andrew for being our Grandson, specially made for us to love and enjoy!! Kick those soccer balls boy!! Enjoy these years!! We love you!!

GO BUCKEYES!!!!
Can we ever get enough OSU Football!! We doubt it here on Hawthorn Road as transplanted Buckeyes' in Northern,Indiana. This area can only see the Irish shirts in Green every fall!! But, we are not color-blind!! We love Scarlet and Grey!
This is just sooooooooo on!!! As Manning says!! and oh, by the way!! the Colts tromped New Orleans last night! My sweet hubby screamed at one point "THAT IS JUST SO BEAUTIFUL!!!! THE WAY HE PASSES THAT FOOTBALL"!!!
OK!! GO BUCKS!!!!!
